Singapore Hotel
Singapore’s accommodation rate is much expensive in comparison to other metropolitan cities in South East Asian due to its high standard services. However, if your stay in Singapore is an offseason, you can book a luxury hotel at reasonable prices.
The cruise ships dock at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. The port terminal is located just next to Marina Bay, where Singapore’s major landmarks are located. You can see Marina Bay from the cruise ship. It is so easy to access the city centre from Marina Bay and Cruise Centre Singapore.

Singapore’s best hotels are located mostly in Marina Bay and Orchard. Another recommended area is the Civic and Cultural District. Mid-range hotels are mostly found in Clark Quay.

The Marina Bay Sands is the world’s most expensive Casino & Resort, worth $8 billion in construction. The world’s leading cruise ships also dock just nearby Marina Bay. Gardens by the Bay is a large public garden with spectacular Super Trees.
Marina Bay is one of the best places I ever stayed in Singapore. Although it is costly, you will have literary everything what Singapore can offer.

Raffles is currently closed for renovation but will open on August in 2019.
Swissotel The Stamford

The hotel is located just next to the Raffles City Market. Te MRT City Hall station is just in some seconds from the hotel. From Changi Airport, it directly takes to the hotel without any transit within about 40 minutes and with just $4 SGD. Free WiFi and no parking available.
Hotel Fort Canning
Price: $270 SGD- for one room, Civic and Cultural District
Hotel Fort Canning is a very special and a real gem of Singapore. The building is preserved on a hill and is hidden by the greens of Fort Canning Park. This historic building was used as a British Military Headquarters and is really beautiful in appearance.
I found the hotel by chance after my visit for photography in Orchard Road and heading to Marina Bay. I would love to stay in Hotel Fort Canning next time. The nearest MRT station is Dhoby Ghaut and can walk to Orchard Road for shopping. Free WiFi and free parking.
Peninsula Excelsior Hotel

Located on Coleman Street, Peninsula Excelsior Hotel is standing just next to Fort Canning Park and St. Andrew’s Cathedral. It takes less than 5 minutes by walk to the Raffles City and Clarke Quay. The guest rooms are elegant, chic and modern and some of them provide a spectacular view of Marina Bay.

4. Clark Quay
Clark Quay is located along Singapore River. Singapore’s nightlife is almost entirely concentrated near the river. Clarke Quay offers the most popular place for parties and a vibrant nightlife.
While other areas of Central Singapore almost get quieter after 22.00 pm, Clarke Quay, cool nightclubs and fashionable bars never sleep. I visited Clarke Quey day and night. I never felt unsafe there even at midnight although I had a full set of camera gear.

- Marina Bay is a walking distance
- Asian Civilisation Museum – Asia’s most comprehensive collection of Asian treasures, it is well worth a visit. They had an exhibition about Angkor in Cambodia when we visited, and it was fantastic!
- Chinatown is just a few streets away from Clark Quay, offering nutritious food and shopping
- Buddha Tooth Relic Temple – A renowned Buddhist temple with a museum concept
- Singapore River Walk – Have a stroll alongside the Singapore River in a sunset
- A colourful and vibrant town, offering active nightlife with a lot of fashionable clubs, bars and restaurants
Where is Clark Quay Exactly?
This historical riverside town of Singapore is located within the Singapore River Planning Area. The quay is situated upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River, Boat Quay.
